Lincoln Boys Varsity Team has had 8 league games with a record of 5-4, although the record does indicate a bad season, it is the mid season and they have won 3 straight league games. The team lost 2-1 Piedmont Hills and 2-0 to Sobrato, then lost 8-4 again to Piedmont Hills, but as you read those were just bad games with enough time to turn the tide around for the season. And that’s how it turned out starting with a record 4-1 in the first five games and now they have won half of their games. Currently, they are in fourth place in the league standings. Lincoln has team with competitive spirit, with the ability to win CCS. GO LIONS!

Although currently the team record is 13-7 overall, the results of the games it seems that Lincoln has a team that can compete with most schools. Lincoln has been impressive lately currently hold a 6 win streak overall with impressive scores, 10-2 against Prospect, 13-0 and 14-0 against San Jose High School which are Lincoln’s rivals. The games against San Jose High School are not a league games they are a huge success and boost for the team morale; by beating their rivals, especially in the fashion they did. Lincoln has the momentum right now, that will help in their future games.

The next game is against Gunderson High School on April 26 at Lincoln, both are league games and winning both games would give Lincoln a league record of 6-4 and would put the team over a .500 winning percentage which is good in any case.

As of right now the team is being led by a Junior, Damian Lopez, 15 runs and the runner ups are, Gus Murphy, with 11 runs then Adam Henriques and Miguel Vargas, both with 10 runs. Although they are the leaders in runs, about 62% of the team has players with 5 or more runs showing that there is a team effort to win.
