PIPPIN Review
Lincoln’s performance of PIPPIN consisted of beautiful acrobatic circus tricks, amazing vocal & musical performances by actors and musicians alike, not to mention creative uses of props and space. The theater was packed as the Lincoln drama department presented their ability to put on an amazing show. Brilliant acting and stage presence created a show worth bragging about. Pippin captivated everyone as each scene seamlessly lead into the next. Lincoln drama classes, orchestra students and technical theater students all came together to show just what Lincoln performing arts is capable of. Aside from the storytelling lights and scenery, a prop stood out to our reporters; the use of our very own Lincoln Lion Tales printed newspaper in a scene where the main character, Pippin played by Charles Lockwood, examines a newspaper.
Make sure to come support our drama department in their One Acts Play Festival in the Black Box Theater playing May 21-23, 2019.
