Lots Of Talent At Performing Arts Day!

Eighth graders showcasing their puppet skills on stage! Performing Arts Day is a day when middle school students are invited to attend performing arts classes at Lincoln. Located in the Black Box Theater November 15, 2019 (Andrea Saldana)

November 15, 2019 The annual Performing Arts (PA) Day at Lincoln High School took place at the Black Box Theater. Eighth graders from different middle schools in the area came to participate in this fun and exciting event. During PA Day, students took different performing arts classes such as: dance, drama, choir, orchestra, mariachi, folklorico, and band. The students were even able to see a live preview of Matilda, the play that Lincoln showcased for Fall 2019. Each student had a choice between three different classes to take for the PA Day and were able to perform at the end of the day for the Performing Arts Day Showcase.

PA Day allows eighth graders to scope out their options and consider coming to attend Lincoln the following school year. Lincoln High School is known for their impeccable arts program, during the showcase parents were invited to come and watch their children perform alongside Lincoln students. Throughout the performance the parents were informed with additional information as to what specific arts programs are offered to students and the amazing trips, competitions, and performances they would be doing if they attended Lincoln and if they become a part of the arts program.
