Pancake Breakfast
Lincoln’s annual Pancake Breakfast was held by the performing arts staff and students on Oct. 18th. The Pancake Breakfast is a fundraiser and an event that showcases the talents of the Lincoln performing arts students.
Lion Tales interviewed both the staff and the students, and they all had overwhelmingly positive responses to the event.
“I’ve played sports probably all my life, and just like any other game, it feels good playing my instrument in front of a crowd,” said Adrian Frometa, a cello player from String Orchestra.
Mr. Liggans, who acted as the conductor for Choral Union, reflected on his first time as a conductor for Lincoln. Liggans said that they “rehearsed this piece for about six weeks for one period.”
He continued, “It was a lot of fun for my first time conducting and the girls from Choral Union really enjoyed themselves.”
On the menu for the Pancake Breakfast were eggs, sausages and pancakes. The food was a big hit with both the parents and students. All of the performances, from VocalEase to Chamber Chorale, were outstanding. The performers provided great entertainment while people were finishing up their breakfasts.
