Snapchat would be a very useful and entertaining way to get the Lincoln students involved and let them know what is going on around school. This would be a way to entertain students and let them know what’s going on in a creative way.  Snapchat stories would be a great way to show students what they missed with live events regarding events like sports, performing arts, guest speaker visits, and rallies.

What’s this useful for?

• Events happening at school: Sports, Performing arts,
• Events out of school: Things around the neighborhood, Fun and appropriate places to visit outside of school
• Live events: Sporting events outside of school, Spirit days, March Madness
• Discover new things at school
• Great way to communicate with faculty and students
• Being active with the school
• Being “hip” 

We would use Snapchat as a class and no one person would hold and use the account all by themself. Everybody will receive the same username and password, which students in class can use when they attend any events that apply to the guidelines. Students will need to obtain approval from the journalism adviser or editors prior attending and uploading content from an event that takes place outside of school. This would be a great way to entertain and a better way to let students know what’s going on around school.

Steps:

• Download app on Ipad, Your cellular device
• Create a username and password that everyone can use
• Add students in journalism class that have a snapchat
• Manage stories that students went to
• Post stories and snapchats to “My Story” to let students know what’s going around campus
• Post stories that acceptable and apply to the guidelines

What’s acceptable?

• Events at school
• Events outside of school
• Live events: Sports, and Performing arts
• Live events outside of school: Professional sporting events, Acceptable concerts, Festivals

What are the guidelines?

• No inappropriate activities
• No showing of alcohol, or drug substance
• No sexual activity allowed to be shown or sent
• No sharing the account with people outside of class (especially outside of school)
