Football Recap: Lincoln vs. Westmont

Here are some tweets from Friday Nights football game Lincoln vs Westmont.

As Westmont kicked off to Lincoln Joe Olmos #9 caught the ball and gave Lincoln their first down!

Robert Zamora #7 threw the ball but could not get it past the Westmont Warriors defense of line and intercepted the ball.

Westmont was able to get past the Lions strong defense of line and get a first down!

Aldo Martinez, #10, did not stop fighting and managed to stop a run on the 40 yard line but the Westmont Warriors were able to get a first down.

Later in the 1st quarter Robert Najar, #24, caused Westmont to fumble which he recovered, giving the Lions a first down.

Robert Najar, #10, caught the ball, but fumbled, causing Lincoln to turn over the ball to the Westmont Warriors.

#8 on Westmont’s team tried to get a first down, but could not get enough yards.

With the 1st quarter almost coming to an end, with only 3:24 left, Westmont gets a 4th down.

Lincoln could not stop Westmont from getting a first down, Westmont went for the field goal and succeeded! Making the score 3-0 in the 1st with the clock set at 1:38.

Westmont got another field goal advantage in the second quarter with the clock set at 9:46 and the score staying at 6-0.

Westmont turned over the ball to Lincoln and gave Lincoln an advantage of scoring!

Robert Zamora #7 threw the ball to Esteban Mosqueda for a long run a getting a 1st down!

2nd quarter came to an end, and now to starting the 3rd quarter with Lincoln in the lead!

During halftime, Westmont’s cheer squad performed along with Westmont’s Marching Band.

Esteban Mosqueda was able to get the Lions a touchdown!! Leaving the score at 7-6 with Lincoln in the lead!

Westmont could not get any yardage and had to kick off to Lincoln in the 3rd quarter.

Robert Zamora #7 threw the ball to Anastacio Prado #15 and got an amazing 1st down!

Lincoln could not hold on to the ball and turned it over to Westmont and was attempting to get a first down.

Juan DelaCruz made an amazing play and sacked the quarterback to stop Westmont from getting a first down!

Westmont could not get another first down so they had to kick off to Lincoln in the 3rd quarter.

Robert Zamora #7 threw a great pass to Aldin Besirevic for a first down for Lincoln!

Esteban Mosqueda made an outstanding run in the 3rd quarter to get the Lions closer to the endzone!

Robert Najar #24 was able to break through westmont’s defense and made a touchdown for the Lincoln Lions! Leaving the score at 14-6!

Lincoln kicked of to Westmont in the 3rd with the clock set at 2:58.

Lincoln was able to stop Westmont on the 30 yard line from getting a first down.

Robert Najar #24 had made a huge it and stopped Westmont from another first down!

Ending the 3rd quarter with the score at 14-6 and Lincoln in the lead!

Starting the 4th quarter with the clock set at 12:00 and Lincoln in the lead.

Westmont tried to get their first down but Robert Najar #24 was able to sack their quarterback!

Westmont had kicked off to Lincoln and Esteban Mosqueda was able to rush through and get a huge first down and ended the 4th quarter!

Lincoln managed to hold off the Westmont Warriors and ended the night with a great win and the score of 14-6! Make sure to come out and support your Lincoln Lions on Friday November 6th, 2015 @EvergreenValley High School. The game starts at 7:00pm. Go Lions!
