Boys Basketball vs San Jose High
On Tuesday 26, 2016 the JV and Varsity boys basketball team played San Jose High putting up a tough battle. Lincoln’s top scorer was Michael Ruiz with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Followed up by Hao Phan with 10 points and 4 rebounds. Too many missed shots and turnovers put our Lions in a cage, losing 30-45.
Later on that night, the Varsity Boys Basketball played ready to avenge the JV team. They played a great first half with San Jose High trailing Lincoln 27-14. The pressure was on for Lincoln to win this rivalry game. The Lions took the final game of the night winning 53-37. Trevor Funk, with 21 points and four rebounds, led Lincoln to victory. With three great games, the Lions walked out winning both girls and boys Varsity while the boys JV went down swinging 30-45.
This year, the boys Varsity basketball team is 6-11.
