Superbowl XLVIII

This Sunday, for the 3rd time in recent years, the N.F.L’s best offense goes against the leagues best defense when the Denver Broncos play the Seattle Seahawks. The game will take place at Metlife stadium in New  York City and is going to be the first ever outdoor, cold-weather Superbowl.

You have Peyton Manning for the Denver Broncos, who just came back from an injury last year when the Indianapolis Colts dropped him due to neck problems. Now dominating the football field, Manning is breaking multiple records to prove it: most passing touchdowns, 55, and most yards this year, with 5,477 yards.

Russel Wilson for the Seahawks, however, should not be overlooked from the fight. He has led the Seahawks to only 3 losses this season. Wilson, along with the Seahawk’s Richard Sherman, arguably the best cornerback in the league who uses his long arms to control opposing receivers, will both be threats on Sunday. The Seahawk’s biggest advantage, however, is their ability to intercept the ball. Bobby Wagner and Earl Thomas are great examples of this defensive threat, having 7 interceptions total between them.

It should be a great match look forward to. Superbowl 48 is taking place at Metlife stadium Febuary 2nd.
