This is the second and final game that the San Jose Sharks play the Toronto Maple Leafs this season, and what an awesome game it was when Joe Pavelski scored the final two goals, passing his 400 point milestone for his career and having 34 points scored total this season. Pavelski faced off against his Olympic linemates Phil Kessel and James Van Riemsdyk to lead the San Jose Sharks to their third straight victory on Tuesday, March 11, over the Maple Leafs.

The Sharks scored 2 goals in each period. Marc Edouard, Tommy Wingels, Brent Burns, and Marty Havlat each scored once while Joe Thornton had 3 assists, leaving the game with a 6-2 score. This moved the Sharks 2 points behind the Anaheim Ducks for second place in the Pacific Division, while Jake Garner of the Maple Leafs was the only person to score on his team, scoring once in the first period and once in the final period of the game. The Maple Leafs’ winning streak, just coming out of a victory against the Ducks for their third straight victory, came to a halt when the Sharks dominated on the ice.

The Sharks’ next game takes place at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio on March 12, so be sure to tune in and support our local hockey team GO SHARKS!
