Beque Korean Grill is a place that I’ve been going to for quite some time now, two years to be exact. As a veteran of this restaurant, I feel that it’s safe for me to create an overall review. From the atmosphere and service to the actual dishes, I’ll be doing an unbiased overview of Beque setting aside personal preferences to the best of my ability.
DISCLAIMER: For this review I will NOT be rating the Beque dinner menu nor will I be rating the
La Galgen short rib on the menu, I will be only rating the ‘All You Can Eat’ (AYCE) portion of the
menu.
La Galgen short rib on the menu, I will be only rating the ‘All You Can Eat’ (AYCE) portion of the
menu.
The reasons why I’ll be doing this:
1) I have not tried any of the paid meals anyways so the rating I would give them would be extremely unreliable anyways.
2) This place is known for serving AYCE KBBQ at a very cheap price ($28.95/Person) which is what draws customers into Beque in the first place. Rating the paid dishes would be unnecessary since most if not all customers only come for the KBBQ anyway.
3) If I were to rate all of the dishes this article would probably be too long for anyone’s attention span to care.

With all of that out of the way, let’s get into the review!
Top 3 best dishes:
1) The #5 CHADOL BAEGI – Thinly sliced unseasoned beef brisket. 10/10
This is absolutely the best dish in Beque and probably in all of the Korean Barbecues that I’ve went to. Even as someone who doesn’t like fatty foods, this dish is a must get! The flavor is a mixture between a sweet and savory taste, it suits every single side that you get along with it and the workers give you a plentiful amount of it. There are really just no flaws with it since it
has a simple enjoyable flavor that even the pickiest eaters might be able to enjoy. The only main flaw that I could possibly suggest is that overtime the oil in the meat does start to build up in the grill, but that can be easily solved by asking the service to replace the grill. Overall, Chadol Baegi gets a solid 10/10 from me.

2) The #15 BEQUE OJING-EO – Sliced squid hand-marinated lightly in house soy based
sauce. 8/10
sauce. 8/10
This is a great dish that I would definitely recommend to others. The seasoning of the Beque Ojing-eo really does carry this dish in terms of taste and texture. The dish has a light umami and savory taste, while having a chewy texture. This dish is very quick to make and it makes for a delicious first meal if you’re that hungry when you come to Beque. One thing I will say about the squid is that it may be too chewy at times, which makes it harder to bite. Another thing that really isn’t the dishes fault but it would be good to know is that sometimes the squid itself is very small and the grill has large gaps to let the air flow through, so when you’re cooking the dish the squid will sometimes fall through the grill. The flavor makes up for all of this so I will be giving this an 8/10.
3) The #6 WUGYUPSAL – Thinly sliced unseasoned beef belly. 7.5/10
This one is a simple favorite, sort of like the slightly downgraded version of the #5. The flavor is very simple and a little bit more on the fatty side, which could be what some people may want to avoid. It’s a great dish if you want to have a variety of flavors for your Korean BBQ experience. One thing I do have to say for this though is that the meat is very sticky when it’s put on the grill and when you try to pull the meat out, it will sometimes rip pieces of the meat off and have it stuck all over the grill permanently until you get a new one. It will not get off no matter how much you scrape off that thing. It’s definitely annoying but once you have a taste of wugyupsal you’ll realize that the pros definitely outweigh the cons. This dish gets a solid 7.5/10!
