The Golden State Warriors had been on a winning streak, but that changed when the Oklahoma City Thunders took it all away. Leaving the score at 127-115, it was a good game in which both teams played their hardest, but the Warriors could not come out on top. That loss, however, made the Warriors hungry for another victory coming into their most recent game versus the Houston Rockets on Wednesday, Jan. 21, and perhaps willing to use force in the process.

One of the Houston Rockets players, James Edward Harden, Jr., had mentioned about the Warriors a little before the game that “they’re not that good” to his team. That set the tone for the game.

Once both teams got on the court, all you could see was hatred towards each other. That’s how we knew it would be a good and painful game. In the middle of the second half, Stephen Curry from the Warriors and Trevor Ariza from the Rockets had an issue. Curry had just walked away from fouling another player and on the side of him was Ariza running. Less than a second later, Aziza bumped Curry on the shoulder.

Curry, in a sudden rage, charged at Ariza, but luckily teammate Draymond Green pulled him back from Ariza. After the game, news reporters interviewed Stephen Curry and he responded to the incident. “I thought it was a cheap shot,” Curry said. “And I don’t know if he meant to do it or not, but that’s how I felt in the moment, and I wanted to tell him.”

And what did he plan to do if he reached Ariza? “Throw a haymaker and knock him out and get kicked out of the league,” Curry deadpanned. “Nah, I don’t know what I was going to do. No idea.”

Curry’s plan was probably for someone to cut him off before he got to Ariza, and if so, it worked. Curry has never looked more intimidating than while he was going wild in Green’s clutches.

The game ended with the Warriors winning 126-113.
