Schedule This! Testing Schedule and Block Schedule Explained

For the last two weeks of April, juniors will take the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (The CAASPP). This 2015 test is a mixture of an online assessment and paper-pencil assessment that is given to all juniors in high school. The online part will include both Smarter Balanced English language arts/literacy (ELA) and mathematics tests.

During week 1 juniors will betaking the math portion and during week 2 the English portion will be given.

The S-BAC tests will be held on the Lincoln campus from April 20th to May 1st. With the exception of the those testing, all students will continue their days with a block schedule.

Also, the CST life science test will be given to all 10th grade students on April 28th and April 29th in the science building. See below for the schedule that the non-testers will be following for those two weeks.

All students who are not testing will attend periods 1, 3, and 5 for 120 minutes each on Tuesdays andThursdays. Students will attend periods 2, 4, and 6 for 120 minutes each on Wednesdays and Fridays. Mondays will be on a regular bell schedule for all students.

Below is the bell schedule for what the school’s block schedule will look like next year. Don’t be confused: the block testing schedule and the block schedule for next year are different. The block schedule for the two weeks of testing contains classes 120 minutes in length, whereas the block schedule for next year will have classes of 90 minutes in length.
