Prom is coming, are you ready?

Make the night yours!  This year, there is a prom song suggestion box in room 52 or hit up twitter @LhspromMusic to suggest your favorite songs to dance to or that special song for someone! Ladies; worried about showing up in the same dress as some one else? Then go claim your dress by posting a picture of it on our Lincoln prom dress page on Facebook.

Do you think your prom proposal was the best? Post a video of it on our “Lincoln Prom Competition 2014” page on Facebook. This contest will be judged by our teacher panel based on creativity. 1st place will win tickets to prom and second place will win a picture package!

Have you bought your tickets for prom yet? If you haven’t, the prices this week are  $50 for one and $90 for couples.  Don’t wait too long because the prices go up every week! Planning on bringing a date that doesn’t attend Lincoln? No problem!  Just stop by Student Services and pick up a guest permission slip. Remember Lions, they may not purchase tickets at the door, and must be under 21.

You may not attend prom if you’re on the debt list or if you still need to attend Saturday school, so make sure you get that taken care of. There is also a community hour requirement: 10 for Freshmen, 20 for Sophomores, 30 for Juniors, and 40 for Seniors. If you’re concerned about your community hours go see Mr. Phelan in Student Services.

It takes a lot to set up for prom here at Lincoln. Not only choosing a theme and setting up a background for our prom pictures, but also printing and decorating all of our tickets individually. Senior officers even give up their lunch time for more than a month to sell tickets. Being an officer requires patience and devotion to complete all the meticulous and tedious jobs that make up our big night! Senior President Alysia Trillo reminds us to not “miss out on an experience of a lifetime” and Treasurer Zach Pardo said “Prom is on of those events that you will look back and smile!” I definitely agree, so don’t wait till last minute to get your tickets. They are sold every day at lunch in the foyer of the Main Gym.
