“Shannon Drake, Lincoln graduate, class of 1985, former Lincoln Lion parent, and former spirit squad coach, has been diagnosed with Guillion-Barre Syndrome. The symptoms are similar to those of ALS and Shannon has lost the ability to use her legs, hands, and arms.  She is in ICU at Denton Medical Center (Texas) and is undergoing treatment, followed by rehabilitation.  She is without medical insurance and the Classes of 1985 & 1986 are trying to raise money to help cover her medical expenses,” wrote Lincoln teacher Ms. Todd in an email message.
