Do you love money and sports? Well, so does Lincoln! However, money is a lot easier to spend than it is to gain, especially within Lincoln’s sports department. Money is spent on transportation, equipment, and entries into special competitions. This year, the cost for transportation for all sports came out to a total of over $35,000, according to Athletic Director, Coach Collins.

Every year, sports teams hold fundraisers to help cover such dreadful costs. Several spring sports are currently conducting an online fundraiser for this season.

Swim, badminton, and track and field are all holding an online fundraiser(at the website  Snap-raise.com ) in which they are asking for donations from anyone who wishes to support Lincoln sports.

Coach Collins said that “we [the school and athletic program] do our best so kids don’t have to pay from their pocket.”
