Lincoln Lions VS Willow Glen Rams – Varsity Lions Fight With Claws Sharpened

On a chilly night September 8th, our brave Lincoln Lions fought against the Willow Glen Rams. With new determination from their first game against Silver Creek, our players entered the field and during the first game, the JV Lions conquered the field. Soon after, the fierce Varsity Lions took to the field. It was a tough battle and for most of the time, we struggled to get a good grip and score a touchdown. After a long fight, and Willow Glen Rams scoring the first touchdown, Lincoln Lions finally got those 2 golden touchdowns. Unfortunately, soon after the Lions lost their grip and Willow Glen took the lead. Soon, Willow Glen, had the Lions scrambling for another touchdown as the Lions were stuck with the now dimmer 12 on the Home side of the scoreboard. Soon Willow Glen hit a shining 21 on the scoreboard, while the Lions score of 12 stayed glued. During the middle of the game, I was able to interview a star player Aiden Lopez, who played Defense on the right side of the field. My starter question was to see from his point of view, what was going on in the game so far, his response was, ” Offense is doing their job, and we’re doing the best we can, trying to score, if we do more than we could definitely score again and win the game.” Afterwards, I asked, “Do you think that if you can get your momentum rolling again, that you can beat Willow Glen?” His response was filled with determination and team trust, “Yes we can, because we’re a strong team, and we’ve made lots of mistakes, however, I have no doubt that we cannot it.” Although the game, did end in Willow Glen triumphing over the Lions, this was only another push for the Lions to try harder and to not give up. To continue being persistent and never back down. After all, that’s what a true Lincoln Lion is all about.
