Football Recap: Lincoln Pounces on Overfelt Knights

 

The Lincoln Lions won their second preseason game against Overfelt last Friday on September 3 by a score of 48-20. Their record stands now of 2-0 so far with eight games left in the season.

The Lions were the first to put up points on the scoreboard. They dominated the first half of the game with a score of 34-0. This left a huge advantage for the Lions in the second half.

During halftime, a show was put on for the supporting crowd. Both the Convertibles and Cheer Team all danced, which stunned the crowd.

At the start of the 3rd quarter, Overfelt finally put points on the scoreboard. During the second half of the game, the Lions ended up putting fourteen more points on the scoreboard while Overfelt scored twenty.

The final score was 48-20 leaving the Lions to victory! Overall, it was a good game both teams played very well and tried their best.

Food, beverages, and clothing were all sold during the game. The food/beverages stand was located beneath the bleachers and the clothing stand on right side of the bleachers.

Their next game will be against league rival Willow Glen at Willow Glen on Friday September 23 at 7:00 PM. They won’t be able to play for the next two weeks since they are bye weeks, meaning no games will be played for the Lions so stay tuned!
