The school year may have been winding down, but for the four students who participated in this year’s track CCS Finals, the pressure was on.

Daniel Cervantes participated in the 800 meter run and placed 10th and Ramon Guzman participated in Shot Put and placed 8th. Both seniors represented Lincoln’s Track and Field for the last time.

Mikayla Ehresmann-Singh placed 4th in Shot Put and all of her hard work and determination paid off. She broke the school record with a throw of 38′ 2.5″.

Senior Jose Piña also broke a school record in the 3200 meter run with a time of 9:11.57. He broke the 40 year old record that was once held by former Lincoln student and current Leland coach, Rudy Montenegro. Coach Montenegro was there to witness Jose’s record breaking performance and cheer him on. Jose’s performance earned him 3rd place and qualified him for the state meet on June 6th.

It was a night of record breaking performances and Lincoln was proudly represented by all four athletes.
