San Jose Sharks Shut Down Los Angeles

The San Jose Sharks triumphed over the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday Night. The Sharks redeemed themselves after their 4 games lost in the playoffs to the Kings last season. They beat Los Angeles in the first game of the season with a 4-0 victory.

The Kings hosted the game in Los Angeles and brought out their 2013-2014 Stanley Cup prior to the game. They presented the Stanley Cup to their Los Angeles fans at the Staples Center and raised up their 2013-2014 Championship Banner before beginning the game.

The Sharks came out hungry to avenge their post-season meltdown. In the 1st period, Tommy Wingels scored the first goal of the game, assisted by Tye McGinn and Jason Demers.

The 2nd period began and the San Jose Sharks stacked up 3 more points over the Kings, making it a 4-0 lead, with goals by veteran Patrick Marleau and Tommy Wingels, who shot his 2nd goal of the night. The 4th goal was made by Matt Nieto.

As the teams headed into the final period, the Kings fans shut down in complete silence, horrified by the outcome of their game with a team they had taken down in the Stanley Cup just months before.

What a happy night for those San Jose fans who were cheering for their hometown team, enjoying this moment over the Los Angeles Kings taking vengeance once again.
